Should Everyone Write a Book?

Is there anyone I wouldn’t help write a book?

Yes.

It might be an unfashionable opinion in an age of equal access, but I believe there are many people who shouldn't be encouraged to write books.

🎯 People who want to share ignorance, not wisdom.
🎯 People who want to mislead readers for their own advantage.
🎯 People who want to spread hatred and bigotry.

I believe those people should be kept as far away from writing books as possible.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m no moral crusader. As a ghostwriter, I’ve often given a voice to people whose views I don’t find particularly perceptive or revelatory, and whose arguments I disagree with.

I have no problem with that. It's part of the job.

But you couldn’t pay me enough to write racism, hate speech, or deliberate misinformation.
