Necessity or Luxury?
Is your book a necessity or a luxury?
If you are writing a book, it falls into one of those categories.
A necessity is a book you write for a practical purpose: to generate leads, to increase your authority, or to advertise whatever you are selling. It has a specific goal and its success can be measured accordingly.
A luxury is a book you want to write. Perhaps you want to remember the things that you've done or share your remarkable stories with other people. Or perhaps you just want to enjoy the process of going back over what you have achieved.
Necessities and luxuries both make for great books. Both have been done many times before.
But if you intend to work with a ghostwriter, neither of them is cheap.
When something is a necessity, it costs the market price.
When something is a luxury, it's always more expensive than a necessity.
One way or another, it's worth paying what your book is worth.
