Dealing With Disagreement

A ghostwriter doesn't always have to agree with their author.

I've written books for people whose politics I dislike or whose faith I don't share.

That's part of the job. I'm not here to judge. I'm here to listen deeply to what people really think and express it in their voice.

I don't have to agree with them – but I do have to respect them.

I couldn't write a book for someone I don't respect.

🎯 Someone who wants to share ignorance, not wisdom.
🎯 Someone who wants to mislead readers for their own advantage.
🎯 Someone who wants to spread hatred and bigotry.
🎯 Someone who's too lazy to do the work to honor the reader.

I believe those people should be kept as far away from writing books as possible.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m no moral crusader.

But you couldn’t pay me enough to write racism, hate speech, or deliberate misinformation.
